Abstract: | This paper investigates the interrelationship present in three constituents of discourse, namely, language, consciousness and mass media and then locates this entire question within the overarching a framework of contemporary Indian reality. As this investigation is not possible unless a definitive, critical position is sought strictly with respect to the paradigmatic relationship of language and consciousness, an attempt shall be made to do so. |
