| Abstract: | In the Buddhist triad of the Buddha, Dhmhma and Samlgha, the first (i.e. Dhamma) is perhaps the most complex, controversial and difficult to interpret. In common parlance Dhamma or Dharma has been taken LO mean religion or rituals of worship. However, it is far from the truth as this meaning does not fit into the concept of this word either in Hinduism• or in Buddhism. |
