Abstract: | The study of communal-ism has to be prefaced by the study of communities. The study of communities carries important methodological apparatus. And Indian social theory is largely informed by the modern Western social theory-be it Marxism, liberalism, structuralism, functionalism, behaviorism or any other. There may be social theories that are non Western and non-modern. |
