The Punjab land revenue act

Abstract

The chief object of this book is to explain the law and practice with respect to the making and maintenance of records-of-rights in land, the assessment and collection of land-revenue and other matters relating to land and the liabilities incident thereto, that fall within the scope of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887. As Revenue Officer I got the opportunity of having practical experience of the working of this Act in a district well known for complicated nature of revenue work, and what is contained in the following pages is in fact based primarily though not exclusively, on my notes which I prepared from time to time while studying the subject for my own use.
