Abstract: Brahmapuri is the name of an area-an elevated place on the western outskirts of the city of Kolhapur. N. latitude 16°41'. E. longitude 74°71'. It is situated on the right bank of the Panchaganga River. Ever since its antiquity was revealed in 1877 antiquarians have been interested in the history of the site.
