The following pages are a sincere attempt to place before the British public facts concerning the many-sided Indian Home Rule movement, of which it is at present ii)_ almost total ignorance. It has been the author's aim to let the Movement speak for itself, and to leave the reader to form his own opinion of its value and importance.
