dc.description.abstractSandhi or euphonic combination in Sanskrit, based. mainly on the principle .of avoidance of hiatus and laws of assimilation, whether progressive, regressive or mutual, is classified by the native grammarians under three heads, viz. vowel, consonant and visarjaniya, according as the final sound of the first word in the combination is a vowel or a consonant or a visarjaniya.
