All the contributors of this issue have spent some time of their academic life at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, in various capacities. In this issue, five papers are directly related to the discipline of philosophy, while two are primarily concerned with politics and one tries to synthesize Islamic discourses, political theory and psychoanalysis.</description>
